L is for Leaves

Sing "It's Autumn Time" and "Leaves are Falling All Around."

Read some Autumn-themed books.

After the leaves change color in autumn, then fall off the trees and down to the ground.

Fall Fingerplay:
Fall winds begin to blow
(blow like the wind)
Colored leaves fall fast and slow
(move hands, making motions like falling leaves)
Whirling, twirling all around
(spin around)
And at last they touch the ground
(touch the ground)

Leaves are Falling Down
(to the tune of The Farmer in the Dell)
Leaves are falling down.
Leaves are falling down.
Red, yellow, green, & brown,
leaves are falling down.
