Small, Medium, Large
We need to use different sizes of snowballs to make a snowman, and they need to be placed in the correct order!
Books:
The Snow Family--Daniel Kirk
Songs:
Great big ball, great big ball, made of snow, made of snow.
Rolling down the street, landing at my feet, great big ball, great big ball.
Medium-size ball, medium-size ball, Made of snow, made of snow.
Rolling down the street, landing At my feet,
Medium-size ball, medium-size ball.
Teeny tiny ball, teeny tiny ball, Made of snow, made of snow.
Rolling down the street, landing At my feet,
Teeny tiny ball, teeny tiny ball.
Watch my snow pal grow as up the Balls they go... 1 2 3, 1 2 3!
Activities/Crafts:
Snowman Building
Cut an extra-large snow person shape out of white butcher paper. Let your children work together to glue crumpled pieces of plain white paper or white tissue paper all over the shape. Then help them add facial features, a hat, a scarf, and buttons cut from felt or construction paper. Display the finished snow person on a wall for a fun room decoration. Do the same activity for each child on a small scale.
Coffee Filter Snowman: cut out 3 sizes of coffee filters. Help children to put them in order; glue down. Decorate snowman with paper cut-outs/colors.

Snowman How-To: follow the directions to draw a snowman. Identify the small, medium, and large snowballs!
Paper Mache Snowman--use different sizes of balloons as a base to build this snowman
Build a Snowman out of varying sizes of styrofoam balls.
Snowman Line Up: Cut out several different sizes of snowmen out of paper/felt. Have children line them up in the correct order from small to large.
